Heavyweight Top 2

    Most people have either Muhammad Ali, Joe Louis or Rocky Marciano in their top 2 heavyweights of all time but does anyone have a top two that has someone else in it eg Holmes, Lewis, Tyson? I personally have Ali first but Lennox Lewis second.

    Lewis and Louis have been my set two for a long time now.

    I can't think of a scenario where I don't have Ali and Louis at one and two.

    I have Dempsey, Holmes and Ali as my top three, with Ali and Holmes generally as the top two.

    Ali and Louis it for me and 3 is a distant third.

    I couldnt imagine how fans would see it any other way.

    If you base it on resume then it is dificult to make a case for anybody apart from Ali and Louis in the top 2 slots.

    They both had more title defences and wins over ranked contenders than any other heavyweight champion by a ratio of 2 to 1 or more.

    Therfore if you rank a third fighter over either of them it should be on the asumption that said fighter would beat them head to head.
