    Tough guy with skills and heart. Excellent fights with La Porte, Gonzalez and a young Kostya come to mind

    Drugs are a *****. RIP.

    Such an underrated fighter.Had some great wins in his career.His bout with Fuentes was just plain brutal.Sad that he went out the way he did-he always seemed tormented outside of the ring.

    Yeah, Lopez wasn't particularly athletic or powerful; but at his best, his technique and toughness ensured that he was, at the very least, going to give everyone an extremely difficult fight. A good solid contender, who would have been a good solid contender in just about any era.
