So you've got over 30 amateur bouts and a good record, yet you're not comfortable with your weight and you're asking a bunch of strangers who know nothing about your style what to do?
What are your goals with gaining weight? If you're winning now with what you are doing, what are you hoping to accomplish with gaining weight?

a taller (bigger) fighter should never lose to a shorter (usually blown up) fighter. comes back to the point of the gameplan. if u let the smaller guy get all the way in and dont tie up or use ur legs ur giving up ur gameplan. i do preffer fighting taller/bigger guys because the target is bigger. but i wouldnt allow a shorter fighter to out work me with the jab or get all the way inside without eating uppercuts or 1-2's on the way in.

    Of course not.

But considering I'm 16 and 5'7" and weigh around 130, I figured a fully grown adult would way more.

Not necessarily. Everyone is different. I have a friend who is 20 and he's 140 pounds and he's just over 6 feet tall.

yeah, well it depends. mike tyson was 5' 10 at 12 years old and 13 stone and he grew an inch after that. so, you never know. should i step up weight then?

P.S, i am prone to hooks, though they don't faze me. body shots do, but nobody works the smaller mans body.

id say it depends partly on ur power. do u have 1 punch kd power at ur weight class now? power isnt everything but being the smaller guy u want to have some pop if u choose to move up. only way to gain respect.

I do, but my punch output is maybe....30 a round? i counter. leave myself open, without dropping my hands, and counter. [effectively] but against a flicker [like a weak boxer, just jabs] i slip them, land body shots.

ok this is me in a nutshell.

    Counterpuncher
    Slugger
    banger
    Undersized
    Clumsy feet
    good chin
    gets hooked lots
    dody shoys.

Sounds like you should worry more about your defense at this point than your weight.

if ur open for that hook in the higher weight classes u will regret it. tighten up ur defense and work on ur footwork.
