He taped out while GSP was letting it go. He still taped out.

It looks like a whole bunch of other tap out. They don't go and scream it out, it usually just looks like that. three little tap tap tap, just like that. That is a tap out, clearly.

I was incredibly suspicious when I was watching it in real time and thought he had tapped out.

It was a tapout!!! I watched in high def was much more clear than that video. My girl doesn't know much about MMA but she even said " he just tapped out!" Why else would his hand have done that?

It was clearly a tap. Everyone watching it noticed, even non fans. Like when sakuraba tapped in the corner against gracie. Missed by the ref. Doesn't matter. The decision was fine. Two very clear rounds (2 and 4) for hendricks and two relatively clear rounds (3and 5) for gsp. Round 1 is the swing round and was close. 48-47 either way is no shock. The announce team was pro hendricks, and we're not used to seeing gsp struggle/be in danger, and take so much damage....can sway judgement. As a whole hendricks won if ypu count who did more damage....but a 5 rounder is like 5 mini fights...and hendricks won two in dominating fashion with gsp earning two and having one a toss up based on how you score. Points are points whether you dominate or eek it out.

Very well said. Hendricks fuked GSP up in those 2 rounds, but it was a 5 round fight scored separately, each round is. Even Rogan admitted that round 3 was going to GSP until Hendricks took him down but GSP got right back up and Rogan said "that makes that round interesting to score" but GSP was outlanding him on their feet in that round. Overall strikes went to GSP and takedowns I believe also, but ya GSP's face was ****ed up and Hendricks did the most damage. But forunately for GSP fans, inflicting alot of damage in 2 rounds doesn't win you the fight in a 5 rounder when the other 2 rounds were pretty clear GSP won. ROund 1 was pretty even and that usually goes to the champ.

That said, Dana is a fukin jackass for blasting the athletic commission like that. Coming out speaking from emotion opposed to logic. That was the fan in dana talking, he wanted GSP to lose, was pissed GSP said he wanted to retire, he see's all the money going down the drain with GSP no longer fighting. Have some fuking respect for the guy who has helped carry the UFC since he beat Matt hughs, instead he's blasts him for stepping aside to rest and deal with whatever is going on. Its so unprofessional of the UFC to act like that and shows how dirty and ruthless they are. You would never get Merchant acting like that, he would have given the mic to Oscar, Floyd, Mosle etc when they said they wanted to announce the retirement. Poor GSP was just going to walk away and should have on him when he wouldnt give GSP the mic. Rogan was bitter little ***** with GSP winning and gave him no respect. Just looks bad on the UFC and Dana added **** the toilet with his rant in the post fight conference.

Neither do you if you think that was a tap. It was not a tap, end of discussion!
