Imagine getting pounded to the body with broken ribs, and being malnourished on top of it? Guy must of been a real ******* who did that, sounds like he knew about the ribs.

    :huh

Not really, he just found a guy was vulnerable to a particular punch and kept throwing it. That's precisely what a fighter is supposed to do.

Would you take a fight with a malnourished half dead teenager to begin with?

I think very highly of Mr. Ray Robinson, but I might just have to agree with you.

Sure. It's not my job to monitor my opponent's health.

I'm sure you'd feel as detached if someone beat one of your relatives nearly to death in the ring. Then it'd be an injustice. :good

Yes, it would be an injustice that my relative's trainer and managers sent him into the ring near-dead, and a commission failed to do it's job by allowing him to fight in that condition.

If he was starving and had no other choice?

As if the commision did anything to help black fighters along back then to boot.

When they stepped up for the introductions, he should have said NOOOOOOOOOOOO! This guy is going to become a great fighter, and my xray vision shows broken ribs. His emaciation also shows he has gone hungry and is not in perfect condition. I will not take advantage of this legend to be and refuse to inflict pain on him.

    Right Russ?

    :patsch

He has another choice. I'm always willing to share a meal and a bed for a relative.

So you agree that the commission would be at fault, then?

Wow, saying it's a cold thing to do to someone is that far off base? :-(
