Just saw some of this guy... How was he? Looks like he was hell of a mover, some of the most fluid punching and movements I've seen. Saw he never won a world title. What were his shortcomings? Looked pretty good to me.

He was unbelievable. Nobody else could've beat McCallum with his hands down for an entire round!

Very clever but he bored the **** out of me.Shortcomings? Held his chin up in the air.A typical Ingle fighter.

His shortcomings were mainly in his own head. He basically choked in big fights. Except in the Julian Jackson fight. In that one he did exactly the opposite and was poleaxed for his troubles :patsch

Vastly overrated by some people who want us to believe that all the big super star names ducked him even though whenever he did get his chance at the big time he failed miserably.

Good tricky fighter but like most Ingle fighters the lack of defence always catches up with them.

I don't think he "failed miserably" against Mike McCallum at all.

Graham was a top class fighter , eubank out right said he wouldn't give him a title shot because he was to good and eubank couldn't hit him . (watch the sky documentary Sheffield Steele ) . Against mccallum it was for me a fight that could of gone either way or been called a draw it was a privilege to be there to see it .

Herol should have won that fight, it was there for the taking. From memory he went into his shell in the last few rounds and lost the fight because of it. And I think he also had a point deducted (for holding?)

I never liked Herol's style, but it gave McCallum lots of problems. I think Mike won, but when you see what McCallum did to Watson it shows the gulf between the elite fighters and very good ones.

Very good fighter with reflexes sent from Heaven. With just a little more industry,he could have outscored Mike McCallum.

If by industry you mean brains...

As funny as it was Graham doing his party trick (the toss over the shoulder), it was potentially very dangerous and in a close fight you do not need a point deduction for showing off.

I can't stand the Ingle style of fighting but in fairness Graham was the best proponent of it, mainly because he had good balance.
He failed against the top fighters because top fighters expose shortcomings and mistakes and that **** style has many.
In fairness he was boxing Jackson's head off making him look foolish but he made the mistake of leaving his unprotected chin in the air and it was lights out.
Like I said good fighters expose mistakes and that style has many.
