    Some of these are almost as bad as the Hopkins haters on here :nut

    A personal favourite of mine;
    The most accurate prediction I found anywhere

    It's amazing to think of all the people who try to play down this win, just in another thread I saw someone claim Hopkins beating Trinidad was on the same level as Canelo beating Josesito Lopez :dead:dead

    No one counted on Hopkins playing mental tricks. Why did b-not duck a rematch? The Chico knew what was coming

    Love looking back on people's predictions for fights like that. Adds perspective.

    I particularly hate predictions that are like, "brings speed, power, and technique to the table". Technique is not a physical attribute, and those physical attributes by themselves don't mean a thing without a style to wear them on.

    I predicted a Hopkins KO win over Trinidad.. Bernard has only legitimately lost two fights Roy Jones jr , which he later avenged after Jones ducked a rematch for years & Chad Dawson when age finally caught up with him

    I mean in hindsight it seems hilarious but nobody knew who Bernard was outside of hardcore boxing fans and Tito was on a hell of a streak going into that fight.

    I don't blame them for getting it wrong. No matter how limited Trinidad was, he was still a wrecking ball and nobody gave a **** about Hopkins. That fight made Bernard's career, and it's surprises like that that make boxing the greatest sport in the world.
