Except where one has lived and trained there for the entirety of his life and the other has spent 4 days in the country.

He was hurt. But the greatness of Bernard, he still managed to pull out a draw.

Watch the video closely. Hopkins was never hurt. This was all strategy to make Mercado think he was winning. Hopkins is a psychological master. He lured Mercado in and set the trap. Brilliant tactician. A master of his craft...

Lol was just typing the exact same thing. Unfortunately, he's not going to be rushing in like he did with that second knockdown and he's going to back up or hold if he's in the first knockdown situation. Shame really, as I'd love to see Joe put him down...

Thanks for posting the video. Nicely done. I didn't have to watch 8 minutes to watch the knockdowns. I wish more youtube videos went to the point like this one.

But that's the only time he's ever been knocked down. He that was in 94. And he wasn't the same defensive master he is today. He's got a great chin.

BHop does look exhausted. The first knockdown was a push and the second, Hopkins was merely trying to hug and take a breather. I guess when I looked inside this thread I was expecting footage of Hopkins getting put in his place by some Julian Jackson type power punches but, I guess not. Thanks for wasting my time

I thought both were legit KDs. A flush right hand hurt Hopkins in the 1st one and an uppercut seemed to do the trick in the 2nd one. You can make a better case that the 2nd one was a semi trip/fall but i don't think it was.
