yeah part age and part Dawson is good. Hopkins has not really been that great for a long time. He handpicked guys he knew he could beat with his lead right hand and clinching and winning rounds. When Calzaghe beat him I thought conclusively he should have retired. And that was back in 2008.
LOL ! Sad, but true. Mad respect for B-Hop, but last night's dirty tactics were unacceptable, even given the circumstances. It put an extra tarnish on his legacy, IMO.
I highly doubt Hopkins will become a fat alcoholic after he retires and wind up getting stabbed to death by his wife. He's a fitness freak. He'll be the old guy who wakes up every morning to run and immediately when he gets back, has a perfectly nutritious meal.

One of his better performances. Also the tail end of his prime. Once he fought De La Hoya and Eastman, it was clear he wasn't the same fighter and was on the decline.
