Pavlik can't beat Hopkins unless he wins something similar to Taylor, but I don't even think he can do that because he is slower than Taylor.

Hopkins UD in a very frustrating fight for Pavlik

I said SHUTOUT, not shootout. :yep

And yes, Pavlik's fundamentals are awful. His footwork, his movement, his defensive technique, the way he telegraphs his shots, etc. If you feel Pavlik is good fundamentally, then you need to go actually watch the guy fight. Fundamentals arent his strength...its his raw power and his jab that make him a dangerous fighter.

Hopkins embarasses Pavlik...stylistically, he would be a NIGHTMARE for him.

    :hi: :hi: :hi:

(notice the superfluous use of smilies!!!   )

As in all of KP's fights, I would be curious to see how he handles a solid right? If he can with the ability to sustain taking it, B-hop wins a decision. However, it he can't, you might see Hopkins losing his dentures.

Hopkins would beat Pavlik even more easily than he's going to beat Calzaghe.

Why didn't he easily beat Taylor?

Neither Pavlik nor Calzaghe have really underperformed in their pro careers and always elevated their game on big occasions. Hopkins did that sometimes and at other times failed to do so. He talked so much **** before the second Taylor fight on how he would knock Taylor out and then proceeded to start slow again, giving Taylor a chance he shouldn't have. If you let wins slip away against an inferior fighter, as Hopkins did against Taylor, you don't have the same level of mental strength asPavlik or Calzaghe.

Man you crack me up. However, I do not think that Pavlik match's up against Hopkins well. Technical boxers with a chin are Kelly's worst nightmare.

 Old popkins gets his ass handed to him.

But thats not what I have issue with; Hopkins has a great great chin and defence no way that Pavlik KO's him. Pavlik would get counterd to death all night.

Hopkins beats Pavlik no matter how old he is.

He'd UD Pavlik at 60! :yep

Calzaghe beats Pavlik 10 times out of 10 as well.

Honestly, this kid is so overrated it's getting surreal!

Can you not analyse a fighter at all? Joe is the complete package, ring craft, speed of hand and foot, punch output, ability to adapt from styles and an iron chin. Apart from punching power what could Calzaghe have more of?

Pavlik hit Taylor a great deal, he is not a one punch KO kinda guy. He would not hit Hopkins with anywhere enough shots to stop him. :good

Won't happen as B-Hop will lose to a white boy by the name of Joe first.

If it were Pavlik in Joe's shoes I see him being frustrated all night and losing a close verdict to the old boy.

    :-(

Objective. Have you seen Andrade remotley near to being hurt? By anybody. Kessler hit Joe with shots that would have KO'd a great deal of people, why did you not answer the rest of my post?

You seem to dislike Europen fighter's.

jock-riders, man you are objective as **** :good

How is Hopkins going to beat Calzaghe.

I underrate his power. He hit Taylor with like 50 clean straight right hands. If that was a one punch knock out artist then he would have been KO'd earlier. Pavlik has brutal power that hurts in every punch but he could not hurt Hopkins because he would not hit him clean.
