Hoppa's MMA debut

Just got back from Penrith, Hoppa's MMA debut was the main event off a card that a guy from my gym was fighting on. Hoppa surprised me early on with a nice throw and got the mount but was quickly swept. He managed to escape mount and it was downhill from there. In a nut shell it was Hoppa getting out boxed, basically getting caught on the cage alot. I lost count of the amount of times he spat his mouth guard to catch a breath, he got penalised twice in one round for it. He showed very little boxing skill, mainly throwing sloppy over hand rights...followed by spitting out his mouth piece. In the end he was getting overwhelmed and stopped in the latter stages of the second and final round. I kinda felt sorry for him at the end, **** knows why

 

Yep, sad to hear but I guess he's fighting to feed his 9 children!

 

One ofhis children was a star for manlys win over broncos last night.

Kerry foley made his mma debut lady night too, won by ko1

 

Taking on a new sport at his age and with only a short prep time makes the result hardly a surprise.

 

How did Foley look? Did you see the Foley fight Dave?

 

But he sounds like he was outboxed:? What is the excuse for that?

 

probably took it for granted. maybe figured he'd throw a few punches and dominate easily.
its seems a sport where the boxing aspect is not the same as u would get in a boxing match.

 

Hoppa was never a boxer just a banger.

 

Back to assualting drunks at Kings cross for him

 

Not sure he's good at much else these days. Hope his son keeps doing well at football though.

 

Would hate to be on the ground with him with those fingerless gloves
