How come it is ok for Margarito to fight De La Hoya but PBF gets critisised for fighting a "old washed up fighter", going for the money and not going for the best?

If PBF would've lost, it would've been okay. But Margarito is catching alot of heat for wanting to fight Oscar also. The question is why isn't PacMan, who he and his corner are saying they have a good chance of beating Oscar cause he's not the same Oscar he once was, catching heat?

Why bother asking questions you already know the answer to.

Margarito is doing it for the great julio caesar chavez, that alone makes me believe if de la hoya takes that fight margarito will try to kill him,so to me i would love to see it.

    It's common sense why.

Margarito has been at welter ring ranking top 10 for 386 weeks. He has fought a good assortment of the top 10 including names like Williams, Cotto, Clottey, Cintron and others, all while looking formidable in each.

Mayweather cherry picked two fights at welter that meant little. 13-1 dog Baldomir and Zab "I should be a jr.welter" Judah. One was a 36 year old man who was weight draining to make 147. In other words he had no legs to catch Mayweather so he was a safe fight. Zab Judah was simply too small, but he gave Mayweather more trouble than Mayweather envisioned, dropping him early in the fight.

One guy has simply cakewalked to the 20 million paydays. The other has taken the hard road, and fought the guys that Mayweather would never fight. Ethics ought to tell you that Margarito should get that fight. Especially on the heels of such a tough fight against Cotto. What is he supposed to do? Enter another rough fight with Williams immediately after? Seems unreasonable to me.

It's ok for pacman because he's moving up to fight a guy twice his size and it's still a mammoth job for him. It's not ok for a prime welter who should be taking on other prime welters to fight some washed up old guy just because it'll bring in the most cash. It's not OK from the keyboard warriors perspective at least, but I know i'd be calling out ODLH if i were in Margo's position.

It's Okay for Margarito to fight Oscar because they are the same weight and Margarito is coming off a major win. It's not okay for Mayweather because he already fought De La Hoya and won and because he was p4p and had to prove it. This is clearly obvious.

Though I disagree with alot in your post, I do agree that he deserves a big payday. And if he could make alot of money fighting Williams, I guarantee he would get right back into another battle. Hell, who says his next fight wont be Williams for 4mil?

Because Margarito paid his dues by fighting the best welters for years.... clottey, williams and now cotto. Who did Mayweather fight at 147 that was consider a legit opponent?

Because now everybody thinks Margo will destroy Oscar and is ONLY fighting him for money. As to when PBF fought Oscar, many felt Oscar would win, possibly even KO him.

I don't think people minded PBF-DLH I, but it was the rematch that pissed people off. PBF won clearly and Oscar wasn't getting any younger. I doubt DLH will fight Margo cause of the heat he received from Mexicans for JCC, he doesn't want that again. I don't have too much of a problem for Margo fighting DLH, but I'd rather see him fight Clottey or Williams.
