Yeah, Oscar's days of fighting people his size are apparently done. Plus Margarito is too good a body puncher for the fragile bodied Gay la Hoya. Hes scared of ending up like he did against Hopkins.
Oscar just doesnt find interest in fighting anyone his size. He tried to call Hatton and make something happen.
Sounds nice, but definitely inaccurate. Picture Judah dropping Mayweather (that even sounds ludicrous) . . . or any fighter dropping Mayweather for that matter. Never happened before and not likely to occur. Mayweather fought smart and he fought sensible. Every boxer's record is predicated on the fights he has to take as opposed the fights he wants to take. If Margarito had the opportunity to fight Floyd's fights he would have. If Floyd didn't have the opportunity to fight his fights he would have gone the Margarito route. It ain't altruism that determined Margarito's record, it was necessity.
Good post. And ppl keep talking bout Mayweather got dropped, they need to let that one go. And talking bad about Baldomir, but to be the champ you gotta beat the champ. You cant blame PBF for wanting the title.
thats not what i meant. hopkins was a step too far anyway. if oscar was 'scared' do you really believe he'd have taken on all comers? if nothing else he has done that. he's not afraid of anyone.
I give Oscar credit for fighting Hopkins. I originally thought he was getting killed when he got kidney-punched. But o further review, he was holding his own. I don't think he was winning by any stretch, but he was definitely holding his own!
