Zhang and Dubois are colossal punchers and Itauma is clearly a lethal fighter but Hrgovic is made of complete granite, he just absorbs it and carries on.
Never mess with old dogs who have life in them. Ituama has years left to rebuild. Still young. It's good to lose.
Tbf the guy is so relaxed and loose that I think his body just naturally absorbs the punches. He doesn’t even need to turn with the punches, he’s just happy to ship them whenever they come.
We knew this after his fight with DD, I’m surprised that Itauma and his team didn’t… I didn’t think he was ready for this kind of fight, I was right.
the reality a puncher has to face is there will be someone that can take ur shots. And the reality is hrgovic is ELITE level chin and im saying that as someone who doesn't rate much else about him. Moses clearly wasn't prepared for 12 rounds. he was banking on knocking him out. A lesson best to learn this early on in his career.
He has a granite chin and thats about it. Very lucky to have a world title fight against a 21 year old.
How good his chin was didn't really become clear until after Zhang, who Hrgovic ate bombs from for 12 rounds, annihilated Joe Joyce twice. Joyce was widely considered to have the best chin in the division and many would've argued one of the best ever at the time. Yet the same guy who couldn't cleanly put down Hrgovic was able to ice Joe with one punch.
He's a good attrition puncher, and despite what everyone says about his stamina, he almost always has enough to get it done late, so he has good "Derrick Chisora" type stamina. A lot of guys have had great success with less. I'm looking at you, Johnny Ruiz.
Zhang has terrifying power he has that kind of Foreman dynamite where it doesn't even look like the punch got enough torque to do that kind of damage. How many heavyweight would take the kind of punishment Hrgovic took last night and keep doing the same thing? I think we have to accept he is unusually tough and Itauma is a very dangerous guy.
