I think this is a fun fight that could go either way. With their recent less than impressive performances, who would you favor to win this matchup? IMO, a lot depends on whether Hrgovic improves his gas tank. If he does I think at this point he'd outbox Joyce without too much difficulty. But if he doesn't, Joyce's relentless pace could cause him some real problems...
Nah man, whilst I think Hrgovic would beat him (probably on points) i disagree that he is done at the top level. He's only lost to Zhang twice who no one is cuing up to fight - til this day - and Chisora which Chisora is lucky that was only a 10 rounder because Joyce would of had him out of there in the next 2 rounds imo. As we know styles make fights and i would back him to do Parker over just as he did in the first fight
Probably Hrgovic in a boring fight, Hrgovic is still fresher and you have to work hard to knock him out.
I would of heavily favoured Joyce a couple of years ago, due to him out working Hrgovic and being unable to hurt him. Now I still favour him for the same reasons but it depends on if Hrgovic has worked on his lack of stamina and if Joyce comes at a decent weight as he's been over 280lbs for his last 3 fights. I wonder if mentally if he's still hungry or is he just going though the motions of being a fighter. In a close fight that kind of mental weakness combined with not being at his best shape could be the difference.
Has-been Vs never-was. Joyce is shot enough that he lost to a pretty shot Chisora. Hrgovic is still wasting his prime and essentially still an unproven prospect due to either lack of ambition or overly cautious management (or both). Joyce's terrible condition and damaged goods status should make him a decent step up for a prospect, like Hrgovic, so it's not silly matchmaking - but the real question is whether it's a test Hrgovic would pass... In some ways, it'd tell us more about him if he doesn't.
