    Poor Matt he really got it good there, he has become to predictable, watch Alves dribble his head off the floor

    Zing. Didn't see the fights last night. I was wondering how Hughes would do. Methinks it might be time to retire.

    Thiago Alves is dangerous with his knees and kicks. Good hammer fists too. The guy comes in to hurt you. I think this performance was much better than that against Parysian. He seemed a bit lethargic in that fight.

    Painfull as a Hughes fan, but I wasn't that confident going in. And I like Alves, I don't think he could beat GSP or Fitch, but he brings something different to the WelterWeight scene. Needs to get his weight under control though, 4 pounds over after testing positive for diuretics in the past is not acceptable.

    Agreed. It really mars Alves' victory over Hughes and hurts case for a title shot when he is having trouble making weight. What would happen if he showed up 4 bs overweight for a title shot? I doubt Dana will put him in with GSP right away - but unless there is another viable contender on the horizon - White may not have a choice.
