To all the doubters about Vic and how he is just a power puncher that had no chance against Mijares.

You know who you are suck it up take it like men.

Because you wont be the first arm chair experts to get it wrong and you wont be the last.

I just love the fact that all the so called experts from Ring and ESPN etc are choking on there own **** right now.

    VIC You ****ing Champion.
Congrats from all the Aussie boys on ESB.

Great fight. Vic looked great! I underestimated him as well. Can't wait to see him action again soon.

Yeah he is a different fighter. Doesnt rush for the KO know waits and times everything.

It would be a good fight.

those uppercuts coming out of nowhere looked so devastating that i fear what would happen if he actually connected with it.

and yes i am eating large portions. i thought he was going to be shut out.

I'm no Mijares fan and I certainly didn't diss Vic... BUT!

I deserve to eat a tiny slice of that pie, due to the fact I picked Mijares by UD.
As I stated in other threads, I was fooled by Mijares technical skills. Tonight, he didn't show any.

Props to Darchinyan for the big win!

Mate you wont be the first aint you wont be the last mate.

Its happened to all of us.

Its just so good when it happens to guys that think they know more than other guys on here.

    When really they know nothing.

I just feel awesome right now because on Kirks Tipping comp i was the only one that Picked Vic.

VIC by KO 11 i picked.

If you ask Bentchassis from the Aussie forum he had odds of $23 for VIC to win by KO in the 10th.

He was one round of probably not working for a couple of weeks.

I picked Mijares to win nearly every round and get to Vic late and stop him.

I deserve to eat two humble pies.

Darchinyan is a real force, he has improved his game a lot, I would like to see how he handles Montiel and a rematch with Donaire.

    I know mate. :thumbsup

Actually, there is a guy in this forum that picked Vic by KO9.

tays001 is his name, he even broke down the fight like he had seen it before it happened.

    Sick!

I picked Vic by KO, over and over, on this board and other sites. He's become a much more complete fighter: great defense, speed, timing. He destroyed Mijares. Maybe Mijares was spending a little too much time thinking about his adoring fans and budding television career.

:lol:Two pies is a LOT mate.

Don't worry, even good ol' veterans like Sweet Pea had it the wrong way.
As BoppaZoo said, it happens to all of us. This thread is mainly for those who thought Mijares was the second coming or something.

Sweet Pea is a great example. Well said i was watching the round by round Sweet Pea was telling everyone how it was going to be Mijares.

Soon as the Knock Down happened he jumped ship and was saying how good Darchinyan was.

Sweet Pea not having a go at you mate but perfect example how you think you know more than any other fan on this site.

When like me ive always thought you are nothing but what i am a Arm Chair Expert.
I still think Sweet Pea knows his **** he just doesnt like admitting when he is wrong.

Yeah, but pie is good. Hell, I would eat pie if my pick was right.

I still regard Mijares as one of the absolute most skilled fighters in the game. Sweet Pea posted in another thread that mentally, he just doesn't have it at this stage to be great like so many thought he would be, that he couldn't adjust and couldn't cope well when things didn't go his way, and I agree. I'm still a fan, but he made a lot of mistakes in there that he usually doesn't, but perhaps that was Vic's style and the crushing uppercut he dropped him with in the first round. Hopefully he will learn from this and stop being so damn arrogant.

All respect to Vic though, he was excellent and gave a brilliant performance.
