I'm a Hurd fan because he's got the best resume at 154 and two belts at 154 I got caught up that hurd could walk jermell down with ease the way he did to Trout and Lara using his size . So I just saw the Trout hurd fight again. I see it now Hurd style is risky jermell could potentially knock hurd out. And Hurd vice versa. I consider hurd battle tested already and not hype .I do consider jermell. Untested and hype if jermell were to beat hurd I would put him on my top ten p4p list and Hurd vice versa
Hurd is always on the brink. You can only take so much punishment, regardless of how tough you are. Hurd needs to learn better defensive skills if he wants to remain undefeated. Yeah, we know you're tough. You don't have to prove that anymore. Now show us you can avoid shots while taking your guy out late.
Maybe he just cant. Hurd right now is a force. But his style isn't built to last. He probably only has 2-3 good years left.
