Until he got too slow to chase youngsters, yes he was.

I thought that forums are for people to discuss, not to "win" debate. If you don't want to change your opinion, why even bother posting here?

The rope a dope that Ali came up with on the spin. In the first round he didn't know what was happening, he was confused at why he constantly on the ropes

From 1971 to around 1993. Quite a long time if you ask me.

Can’t believe I left Schmelling and Liston out. Now that Wlad and Vitali have retired it makes the proposition that much more challenging and it’s going to be that much harder when Fury, Wilder and Joshua retire

Not gonna lie I've seen alot of this. I can't see any reason why Wlad isn't top 10. Care to explain?
Eh I'm only asking this due to the lack off Patterson. Is he above or below Liston? I can't see a case for him being above tbh

There's a few other things I could nit pick but it's a pretty solid list imo

My top 10 is pretty neck and neck, really I can see a lot of my top 20 being in the top 10, wlad isn't there mainly because I just have a few fighters over him
Liston could very well be under Wlad, admittedly I will revise my list, but overall I just think Liston is a better fighter

Patterson achieved more. Look at the resume.

I like his wins over Patterson, Folley, Williams, Valdes and Machen over a past prime Ezzard Charles, a past prime Archie Moore and Jersey Joe Walcott (who is probably the best win there)
Honestly it's because I can't see him being above my top 6, the next 4 are completely interchangeable
Fitzsimmons I rank at middleweight and Schmeling...

    I forgot about him.
Don't know enough about him tbh

Valdes was past his prime though. I'd take Walcott, very close to prime Moore and Charles over anyone not named Patterson here.

I'd take Williams to KO both.
And I'm a huge fan of both
