Awful awful decision, but while you can't blame them for judging you then have boxer/coach/manager claiming thought they won it. When is one of these "winners" going to make a stand and say look we all know I didn't win???
Ormond won every round from 7th and was about level after 6 lost a split including 117-110 against him
Had it at least 8-4 Ormond. Was shocked when I heard 117-110 Hyland, could only just understand if a judge gave it 114-113 because of home town scoring.
you only need to pay off 1 judge then it becomes a 50/50 and the draw becomes very possible....also the rematch becomes a much bigger possibility...It stinks badly If 100 people were asked to judge this fight not even Hylands mother would score it 117-110
I looked at the price on Betfair at the end of the 12th and you could get 8/1 on Hyland win. Now I didn't touch it but I thought it looked a bet. I think it would have been fairly easy to give Hyland rounds 1-4 with a knock down, whether or not he derserved them is another question but that is a 5 point lead. With a home town crowd and favourable judges it only takes a couple of rounds to Hyland to swing it for him. Where they get the 117-110 from is a different matter. That being said Ormond won the fight and it's all but a robbery. Hyland was absolutely spent at the end and realistically it's hard to give him a round between 6-12.
It will take as much time to send an email and lodge an official complaint as it will to post here, I just did it, whether it makes a difference or not who knows but let them know your feelings and put a bit of heat on McDonnell or who ever else was involved ! This content is protected
there was a point after around 9-10 rounds when Hyland was looking for a way out..he was fed up running and getting punch in the side of the head and turned his back and then after a clash of heads i really thought he might quit...Fair play to Ormond though in this vid>>> This content is protected
