So with Whyte and Chisora both having their fights cancelled i have a question. If Hearn put on Degale vs Smith with whyte vs Chisora chief support and Ohara vs josh taylor on the undercard and made it PPV would the PPV sell or flop?
Flop. Very good card but its more with the diehard boxing fan in mind. Degale wouldnt be cheap. Cant see whyte and chisora not getting their value. They,d be wanting a good bit more than the first fight. Still not sure degales been fully forgiven for being a bit of a knob to be a big success headlining either. Not sure there would be enough interest from the casual fan. Basically thats the market. Some interest because even when we talk about casuals in fairness their a good bit more knowledgeable about boxers than sometimes giving credit for. But probably not enough to justify it. Good card tho.
If you swap DeGale vs Smith for DeGale vs Groves (providing he wins WBA) then it would do huge numbers.
