I don't know if hopkins is going to make it past dawson, andi don't know if these two will ever fight. but does anyone else get the impression that andre ward fights at the pace and tempo that stylistically favours hopkins? i know ward is alot younger and quicker, but i feel like he wouldn't be able to outfox the wiley hopkins.
I would love this fight. Dirt on dirt... I think it would be one pulling a dirty trick because the other did it because the other did it because the other did it.. and so on. Would probably end with one of them doing 'a Hopkins Exit' (from the Dawson fight).
Ward is too fresh and too good. Be like looking in a mirror for Hopkins but facing a much younger version of himself.
I think it will be a dirt on dirt fight... and therefore one of them (and I agree with you that this is most likely Hopkins) quits.
Andre Ward is the Future of Boxing! I've never seen anyone beat Hopkins up - but I think Andre makes Bhop fight at a pace he doesn't want to. Ward has an all-around package. When you think he'll outbox the fighter - he fights them. When you think he'll have to fight - he boxes. He does what's needed to be done to win the fight. He's a BEAST! Haven't lost a fight since the age of 13 - now that's saying something.
Would be an interesting fight. Hopkins is not known to be the cleanest fighter and niether is Ward. My bet is that their will be some blood involved.
Bernard will not fight him but Bute cause he knows better no matter what you would like... And yes the exit door is wide open for Dawson to restart his career fom the backyard door.
