Have you seen Clottey fight before? Go watch Clottey - Cotto. His punch output isn't much different.

The difference is: Clottey hurt Cotto with his punches. He couldn't hurt Pacquiao.

And unlike Cotto and most other opponents, Pac didn't give Clottey a stationary target, which was the gameplan all along.

Clottey got discouraged by the relentless punching and elusiveness from Pacquiao.

i am not a pac hater!!! i was the first one to hold my hands up and say that pac v cotto was a career defining performace and he deserves to be p4p #1... but I know a good performance when i see one, and this wasnt it. imo, pac gets about as much credit for beating clottey as mayweather got for beating marquez!!!

actually, this would make a good poll. i wonder what everyone elses views are :)

He gets credit for making Clottey fight like a coward like never before. Please have some common sense.

To compare Mayweather beating a totally outmatched Marquez to Pacquiao outworking a totally, physically bigger Clottey...wow. You are a Pac hater.

You ignored Gander Tasco's post...because you have no valid argument. What a ****ing ratard you are.

by these comments, you are downplaying clottey as a fighter. you are saying that clottey is one dimentional and is only effective if you stand infront of him, which I agree with!! so pacs task wasnt at all difficult to begin with really was it? why should he get so much credit for this if clottey was never gonna be a realistic threat? :think

It was not my post so I let GT reply to it first.

Pacquiao made him look like a coward. How hard is that to understand?

Two points: 1) A lot of people said Wright was fat and over the hill, not singing Williams praises
    2) Wright, at his prime, was better than anyone else that Williams had faced. Clottey, in his prime, is maybe the 10th best fighter Pacquiao has faced. These things are relative. A prospect fight Clottey would get props for the step up in competition. Pacquiao fighting Clottey is a step down in competition.
