I believe that boxers should not limit their eating nor should they be on a strict diet. I could be wrong here but since boxers train intense everyday, then the food that they eat would eventually burn off. As long as they stay on a weight that is close to their fighting weight, then they could eat whatever they want. Again, this is how I feel.

Why do that when you can be shredded and have more muscle than your opponent?

Which doesnt make sense? I just see some boxers out there who are on a strict diet. Boxing is a demanding sport, and to limit your food intake, I believe your training would suffer.

    A: metabolism

B: 9 times out of 10 if a person is allowed to 'eat whatever they want' it's going to be junk.

Get a few fights under your belt and try competing in a specific weight class (not match bouts where you can weigh whatever you want, but actual tournaments where you have to make a target weight) and then come back and tell me how eating as much and whatever you want worked out for you.

It could just be me but the more I follow a strict diet, the harder it is to lose weight.

Didn't you say a while back that you just started a few months ago? You haven't had a fight yet, but you've been boxing for three years?
