you think Geale would earn 2.5mil on a rematch? didnt he only earn about 150k-200k on the first match...thats a pretty big jump in earning ash.
I think geale got $250k plus....for the record thats a very nice pay day. However if geale won the IBF would title and then fought mundine....its huge I think the rematch would be close to green V mundine numbers and geale would get 50% of income because hes got the title so yeah I think a few mill for sure

Geale v Mundine II was a guaranteed big dollar fight late last year - no question whatsoever! Everybody knew that, and it's why they both fought on the Tassie card together as a build-up towards the return bout. It's also why the misleading innuendo about Geale having to bring a title to the table for the 2nd bout rates at best as a very **** poor excuse for avoiding the rematch - they already knew Mundine had won the title from Geale! Why go through with the Tassie build-up and then come out with crap like 'he doesn't bring a title to the table'. ....THEY ALREADY KNEW HE DIDN'T HAVE A TITLE.............FFS!
