    After watching Liverpool beat Chelsea today with Ian Darke commentating I just remembered the good old days on Sky when Ian Darke was commentating fights and how good he was!!

    Anybody else miss Ian Darke's commentary of boxing on Sky?

    yeah I was a big fan of Ian Darke, his stuff in the 90s was great, he did a great job of the Tyson v Douglas fight, still remember his dramatic quotes from "Tyson is down, for the first time in his career", ok don't sound amazing written but the way he said it! Great narrator and interviewer as well.

    In my opinion he was the best in the business, nobody has come remotely close to him.

    I'm shocked no one else uses him for boxing- I don't think has an exclusive contract with BT.

    Best commentator for football and boxing - annoys me no end seeing BT use that tool fletcher instead of him most weeks

    He is brilliant. Hearing his voice takes me back to the big Lewis and Naz fights in the US.

    For gods sake Sky, give him what he wants and stop me having to mute Nick "zeroes in" Halling.

    Darke is brilliant, dont know what sky are thinking about, its like having a pick of any bird in the country and you decide to part company with Cheryl Cole and the next thing you replace her with Susan Boyle, that sums up difference in quality between Darke and Halling.

    Fantastic boxing commentator his knowledge of the game really used to shine through always called the big fights expertly.
