It was a fight for the Heavyweight title, at no point did the fight warrant stopping from the refs point of view.

Exactly. You'll know from a lot of my posts I get right on the refs when they are too slow to stop fights (Enzo's last fight being a prime example), but in this case there wasn't really much he could do. The docs are supposed to look between rounds anyway so what more could he have done.
I agree. The level of British refereeing is pathetic but, somehow, Ian John Lewis the standout worst of the lot. He's a joke. His scorecards are horrible and he's a terrible referee.
Hes a joke will, always has been. But he's a member of the old man's club so he will be okay and will get more refereeing jobs

I don't think he's corrupt. He's just made a very bad call that put him in a position where he couldn't rectify it and had to stand by it. I think as soon as he jumped in tonight, you can tell by his facial expression and body language that he genuinely realised it was an 'oh ****' moment.
Worst ref on the circuit. How the BBBC keep him on the books is astounding! After yet another awful decision he surely has to go! His decisions as a judge are just as bad. IJL has got to go!!
