....in impressive fashion, how will that change your opinion of him?

What does this fight mean to his career and reputation?

It would mean a lot. First slick boxer he beat that was in his prime.

Calzaghe has yet to overcome such a style and, IMO, class of boxer (considering the states Hopkins and Jones were in).

Just another scalp, not a particuarly great one.

Joe has cemented his legacy, he's owned a division for a decade in his prime, after that he moved up in weight and beat some legends for fun.

Dawson is not nearly as accomplished as many of Joe's victims along the way, he's certainly not as acclaimed as say Lacey or Kessler.

Fight fans already know Joe is a great

His haters will never admit, so who cares about Chad Dawson? It won't prove anything thats not known already to anybody with a brain.

Dawson would be an excellent win for Calzaghe.

A convincing win over Dawson would completely seal the deal for Calzaghe - there would be no legitimate haters left after that.

    :rofl

Of course, because beating Harding, Adamek, Tarver, and Johnson is nothing compared to edging out Omar Sheika and KOing Robin Reid. :rofl

Dawson has nothing on Kessler, and is nowhere near as big of name as Lacey was, Lacey was as big as a 4 to 1 favorite going into the Calzaghe fight.

    Dawson is nowhere near Kessler.

And had lost twice to Taylor, and was 43. Pavlik was a styles thing. To say that Hopkins age played no part against Joe is silly - look at the state of the way he was gassing.

 Nice. Anyways, it will be a great win for Joe. I mean, Hopkins, Jones, Dawson, Kessler, Lacey, and Eubank on his resume. That's a resume a fighter dreams of having.

    Oh wow, you are hopeless.

Calzaghe does not need Dawson for anything, Calzaghe has cemented his legacy. Dawsons a nice fighter, but he is nothing special or career defining, he should have lost to Johnson, and ducked Diacanu.
