He'd be the greatest thing to have ever lived.

Amazing to think where you are born dictates how people perceive you.

His level of talent/ability is seemingly irrelevant. I mean people think Quillin has a chance ffs.

i love ggg, but its the fact that he is not american that has guys like the ts hyping him up to no end. at least wait till he beats someone who will be remembered in 15 yrs before you start to make him the unbeatable cyborg.

If he was American he would already be hyped off the charts in the Ring p4p rankings. It is what it is :deal

Golovkin would most likely have been pasted over the front pages of The American boxing mags with a title arguably reading something about MW saviour etc. The P4P ratings would likely have him in the top 5 and a win over Macklin who was beaten by A Facey in the UK would elevate him to another stratosphere

    Bull**** comments in here.

HBO is hyping the **** out of GGG.

He is more popular than Wilder and Malik Scott.

Why isn't Curtis Stevens being hyped up just because he's American?

GGG is bringing the knockout and when you bring the entertainment , it dont matter where you are from, the States will get behind you.

Rubbish. Look how Froch who fought Pascal, Taylor and Dirrell one after the other and then fighting Kessler next, his fight with Kessler wasnt even shown on a main channel in the UK and had to be viewed on a PPV channel that isnt as well known as Sky or that his fight with Taylor wasnt live

This is a part of life. There's no point saying "if this person was this, or that"... He's not American. And so, in this game, he has to work harder and be more patient. However, America will eventually allow foreign national's to shine, so if GGG keeps pushing, he will be where he wants to be.

Froch is the 'exception that proves the rule'. All rules have exceptions, and this is no different. The rule, in this case, remains firmly intact however (Hatton, Khan, Tyson Fury, Haye, Nas, Eubank, Lewis etc etc).

Now imagine if Rigondeaux was a farmer from Oklahoma...

Then the joke about the famous line "Good Boy" won't be as cool since he would have no problem with the language barrier since he is going to be a natural bred and born American.

I'd rather have him Kazakhstan and keep the 'Good Boy'

Simply because Froch isn't GGG. He went life and death with Pascal, lost every round to a damaged goods Taylor before landing a lucky punch, and got a gift against Dirrell. Don't be a nunce and please get that in your head. GGG already beat Bute before Froch ever did.
