I can imagine that he is an interesting guy with strong opinions, some I agree with, some I don't. I get the impression he rarely changes his mind once it's made up.

I have a been a big fan of his throughout his career. He also appears to be one of the better broadcasters in the game. I just hate how biased he is when it comes to Pacquiao. I can't stand Merchant-esque biases toward individual fighters. The best commentators offer objective opinions with no personal bias.

 

Everyone has a bias. It's just whose the best at hiding/controlling it

 

isn't he 3 weighht world champion ? he was champ at 147.

 

Fought the best fighters of his generation around his weight class. Gave Miguel 12 good rounds w/ a broken orbital. Solid wins over Juan Diaz, Judah, Senchenko and N'Dou. Never quit while taking beatings from Khan and Hatton. I'd say he is pretty tough.

On a side note, that soft, pathetic punch he throws as the referee stops the Khan fight is one of the only times I have felt bad for a fighter.
