In the book In This Corner, Williams admitted he didnt fancy his chances against Ray ,and his Wife also told him to give the Sugar man a miss.Ike wasn't being gracious ,he didnt like Robinson who whenever they met called him "Ugly",they allmost got into it on the street once because of Ray's boorish behaviour.
