In one way I really don't know why anyone would want to protect SBW's 'status' because outside here and maybe NZ he has no status whatsoever. Maybe this pile of stinking garbage is more an indication of the state of boxing in this country where former footballers can be making more money than bona fide pro fighters...sheesh :blood
There ****ing should be criminal charges this **** happens way too often in boxing a sport in which i believe to be the most dangerous sport on the planet, fighters risk their immediate and future health as well as their lives only to have to deal with this bull**** consistently. Sure this isn't the first time this **** has happened and it unfortunately probably won't be the last but this is one of the worst cases of blatant and obvious corruption I've seen in quite some time.

It appears some of you have got absolutely no idea re structure of pro boxing in Australia. There ain't one & only one regulating body...and never will be.
it could be anything. the r celebrities. if sbw took up lawn bowls, he'd also make more money than most if not all lawn bowlers. same as if lara bingle or hugh jackman took up lawn bowls or hockey. so, its not just boxing that would be affected by this type of thing. look how big AFL is. they still bought israel folau for huge cash didn't they?

Now that you mention it, I travelled with him to all gigs from 1968 - 1972...his roadie of sorts I'll never ever forget the night, when I could've possibly killed him while spotlight shooting rabbits while on a 3-day gig in Victoria's Gippsland area. After it, I wouldn't touch a farkin 22 again.
This sort of **** happens all over the world all the time, so don't focus into it & lose sleep over it. Such is life in wonderful, wonderful, wonderful world of modern boxing. Live with it, or walk away from it.
