I am injured no two ways about it i have been kidding myself that the twinge in my shoulder would go away and now its properly fecked! Iv spoken to a doctor and he thinks its along the lines of cartilage damage or maybe ligament. Whatever it is iv been told only complete zero load bearing rest will repair it!! No push ups and specifically no punching!!! :nono

So iv been racking my brains on how im going to train now. Iv pretty much accepted that its running, leg work and ab work only really. Iv been told i can swim by the doc as its non load bearing as such! Basically has anyone got anytips or interesting training ideas to keep me from going insane with boredom iv racked my brains and im pretty sure the answer is going to be i can do feck all upper body stuff lol! But what the hey maybe someone will have an idea. Just want to loose as little strength and conditioning as i can as before this i was training for my first fight fanatically and was in the shape of my life!:|

Just do lower body stuff. Squats, lunges, pistols, bodyweight deadlift etc etc.

no it doesnt you tosser when its cartilage problem not muscular how can it be rotor cuff when the rotor cuff is a group of muscles?? im only going from what a person with a medical degree told me!

Anyway i didnt ask for prevention or someone to try and be a smart arse the shoulder is ****ed and needs rest whatever the injury is i was asking for training tips. Maybe you should not call people a stupid twat when you show you cant even ready

    just a thought:good

now can anyone actually help with the original question ?

So now you say its a cartilage problem, what is it..? cartilage or ligiment. Like i said before, Rotator Cuff protects against shoulder injuries.

Why hasn't your doctor given you a exact diagnosis..? what is his problem..?

The only kind of advice anybody, with half a ****ing brain cell can give you here. Is to not use your arm and rest up..................................

Because nobody here, or even your mysterious doctors knows what the **** is up with your shoulder, to a exact point.

Maybe RDJ can come up in here, and give you some advice.

youve given zero relevant advice to my question what so ever, youve just come on here to try and be a smart arse and seem knowledgeable. Congrats :good

now if anyone would like to post some relevant advice that would be great. LIKE I SAID!! the answer to healing is rest however thats not what i asked im looking for possible alternative training i could do.

by the way not that its relevant but i work in a doctors surgery so i had a very quick examination with limited time and the doctor is sure its not a rotor cuff injury. NOT THAT IT MATTERS AS THAT WASNT THE QUESTION !!! unless you want to seem like a know it all smart arse??

KOOL i suggest you just learn to read mate :D

ah mate theres no way i could make it but thanks mate thats very very kind of you!!! the doc i spoke to at my work reckons it wouldnt warrant an injection or physio but he is a notorious hard arse so maybe hes wrong. I do know someone who ill do physio for a very low price do you think its worth giving him a shout? he's mouthy but i do think he knows his stuff!
