Does anybody know of some amateur matchups or results that might surprise you? ie a journeyman pro today beating a world championwhen they were in the ams or matchups that seem strange because of the different weight classes they fight at now?

Off the top of my head

Chad Dawson vs Dmitriy Salita (Chad Won)
Joe Calzaghe vs Chris Byrd (Joe won)
Gerald McClellan vs RJJ (McClellan won)
Amir Khan vs Victor Ortiz (Amir won by stoppage)
Gerald McClellan vs Michael Moorer (McClellan won)

George Groves vs Travis Dickinson (Dickinson won twice, once by stoppage).
Joe Calzaghe vs Dean Francis (Joe won, think it was by stoppage?).
Roy Jones Jr vs Antonio Tarver (RJJ won a decision).
Zab Judah vs David Diaz (Diaz won a decision).

Serafim Todorov of Bulgaria at the Atlanta 96 olympics, although Floyd boxed rings around him and should have got the decision, infact the referee raised Floyds hand and was in shock when he realised he was supposed to raise Todorovs lol

This one doesn't surprise me at all.

I'm trying to think of some....

I know Ricky Hatton was KO'd twice by Braehmer (as previously mentioned) and also stopped Jamie Moore and Colin Lynes within a round.

Whenever I watch amateur boxing I just imagine Jeff Lacy getting the nod over Calzaghe despite having seven bells knocked out of him..... the scoring is just that bad.

I thought Hatton lost on points in the 2nd Braehmer fight, i might be mistaken.
