I'll campaign with ya on that one, it's long overdue. What the **** is happening with Diaconu anyway? I was looking forward to watching him destroy Dawson and I haven't heard any news since the fight was cancelled.

 

Wierd that John Duddy is the last unbeaten Irish prospect. I felt he would be the first to lose. Bernard Dunne looked amazing up until Martinez. Didn't see Andy Lee getting beat either.

 

In two weeks, he's fighting against Henry in Romania for the Interim WBC Title. Then, Dawson has to face the winner if he wants to avoid being stripped.

 

what are yo uahppy to see the irish prospects being beaten?

there's one thing that you can never doubt duddy for and that is his heart and chin,with this he is unlikely to get knocked out by anyone outside the top 7-8 and when he wants to box he can box to a very high level,to say he has no skill is really quite demeaning to the way he fought against eastman and also the last 6 rounds against smichet,of course duddy doesnt seem to have the power that we once all thought he does but this doesnt diminish the fact he is a very good boxer,above domestic level and euro level.

i dont mean any disrespect but dunne didnt really look all that great since his fight with pickering,he was beginning to tire and his frame is simply too small for super bantamweight and he doesnt have the skills he thinks he does ... lets hope that the ko from martinez was a blessing in disguise and has made him train harder than ever because one things for sure April 12th is going to the biggest night in his boxing career to date.

 

o yea ... i forgot,i had a very bad dream last night everyone,mccloskey ko'ed in the seventh,i used to have dreams when i was younger about naseem and what round something would happen and they usually came true,lets just hope mccloskey can come through this with honours because its going to be a tough test and bazan is a much more accomplished professional than paul is,a very difficult night lies ahead of young paul.

 

ardy,i think we have to be realistic,this thread isnt big enough to havre its own forum.we have what 7-12 regular posters on here,in honesty it just doesnt make sense.we dont want to post in the british forum though because we all know what would happen with that.

 

ardy, what about haughian,i know he got surpisingly beaten on the duddy undercard in the kings hall,but doesnt he have a lot of promise maybe for the british level?hes from lurgan?

 

cheers ardy,yeah from what i seen of him i liked alot and at the minute there are so many opportunities in ireland for boxers to continue to test their skills.imo it will only be a matter of time before the likes of warren and maloney comes knocking looking for a big bite of irish boxing,lets just hope peters holds strong.
