I was talking to someone who boxed over there as an amatuer and he was saying that you need to KO them to even get a draw. Very biased towards hometown fighters....
Ste, I know just the boy! Kieran Farrell mentioned Wilton by name - he said tell him get an 8 rounder under his belt and they can fight for the Irish title. Have you mentioned this to him?
oi mate do you remember this:happy:happy [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YihLua-yqM&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOOO6LpQ9iE&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0oneVHHyxk&feature=related[/ame]
Word has reached me that Katie Taylor has LOST in the Czech Republic, thus ending her amazing run. She's lost just once in 64 fights in her current run. 10-2 or something close.
Don't know mate, the girl she was up against was the 06 54kg champion of the world, so she had credentials... Plus Katie's been busy of late trying to crop up the sham senior finals, maybe she was tired. 8-1 in fact
Wee turn on Lindsay in the Boxing News today :good Leonard, I did ask Wilton about fighting Farrell and he said he was keen on the fight. I was jotting down notes that night and just never remembered to add it in. Wilton will fight an eight-rounder in May to gain eligibility for the Irish belt.
