the hyland bill looks worthy...of tv coverage...especally with two good title fights...its a dam pity...satanta arent ...showing it

 

does anyone know ....who paul hyland is fighting that night...he seems to be the best of...the three brothers

 

I think the Hyland bill is a cracking night's boxing, but TV stations all want continuity. They would want at least 5-6 similar bills, organised to suit their schedule for them to get involved. Plus they have spent millions on Warren and Hobson boxing. I dont think an opponent has been named for Paul Hyland yet but the two fights at the top speak for themselves. Does anyone know what sort of crowd they are expecting. Would be a shame if they didnt pack them in.

 

Hi Guys, great thread you have going here, been following it for a bit. Anywany my 2 cents is thatI think McCluskey could be the best of all the current guys.

That show in Dublin looks good, someone here said it's not on Setanta but if has their logo on the poster so that must mean something??? I think O' Hara will beat Eddy Hyland but Paddy will surely be too young for Griffin.

 

Yeah I got my ticket for the show, me and a few of the lads are going.Ive been told tickets are selling steadily.I agree with all you said, except I think Griffin will beat Paddy. Are you going?

 

Yeah I'll be there but it's always nice to be able to catch a repeat on TV later on. I think Griffin will outbox Hylad for a few rounds but I think after about 6 or 7 Hyland will catch up with him and stop him.

Anyone know who's fighting who on the undercard.

it's a bit short but still a good read and just highlights the ever growing fanbase of boxing around the UK and Ireland.
Importantly he highlights how we can't get carried away with McCloskey's victory,although against a world champion it was clear to see that he was nowhere that kind of quality anymore.

 

Paul Hyland and Gary O'Sullivan look like good prospects that are on the undercard, I'm really looking forward to seeing these boys. I hope I dont get to drunk before hand,and ruin the whole event for myself.**** Ive done that before.:rofl

duddy to fight in boston next;

according to the belfast telegraph and irish ropes duddy is to return to the ring to fight in boston in late june or early july.

he's returning to NYC to start training again this week and it's great to see him wanting to get back so early after his last war.

 

massive fan of magee and his pure tenacity and never say die attitude in the ring,should have beat hatton he let him off the hook all too easy,but hatton showed in the fight boxing ability i hadn't seen from him before.

yea its a shame about his outside lifestyle and the rows he got into also,damaged such a great career.i know he had to go live with his ma for his fight against anderson because by himself he doesn't have the discipline to train/eat right and not drink.such a shame that so many great careers are ruined this way,you can do nothing but look in wonderment at the joys he did give us though.
