Ah sure while we're all having a stab at it, I was thinking Wayne Elcock wouldn't be bad to get on a months notice. He's in the European rankings(just) and would be a good test for Lee skill wise as long as he's in there.

Elcock outworked and outboxed Abraham for long periods of their fight inbetween the bits where he just couldn't take Abraham's power.
However he does have a tendancy to freeze in big fights and can be a bit chinny, so if things weren't going right for Lee he'd still have a good chance to turn it around.

McDermott certainly wouldn't be a bad option either if they could get him.
With the time left I think we can rule out any top opponent like Gevor etc
I don't reckon there'd be much chance of getting Manfredo jnr over for a fight in 4 weeks time without big, big money, and although guys like Smichet(although he's getting stopped a bit at the moment) and Vera offer very tough and hardened challengers I think a challenge of a fighter with better skill(such as Elcock or McDermott) would be better suited for Lee to prepare him for Barker.

Although in the long run Lee does need a few guys like Smichet and Vera to prepare him for marauding brawlers. The Vera fight has some merit as Lee would love to get one back on him in a rematch but I think Vera's camp would look for quite a bit of money to come to Ireland anyway.

That sounds like a good idea Cormac, and ordinarily I would have jumped at it, but as Gasman rightly states Mitchell-Katsidis is the same night. So I will have to give it a miss this time.

Apparently Perez is still boxing on the Alio card.

Thanks! Although I'm not the man for tips, still learning myself :p Your pics are good, it's just a matter of pressing the right buttons as I have found out the hard way!

Yes the new 50mm lens is taking some pretty neat ones. Especially of the close-ups when they're in between pads/rounds and all that. Seem to be coming out okay.

We could do Dundalk and probably red cow as well. We wont need to go to UK to see Carlos...he'll be topping bills in the Ulster Hall from November onwards!
But when he does I'll run the bus from Dublin

I think Vera might go for a re match now. he'd get a few shekels for it and he's on the back of three defeats with his career needing a jumpstart, he has **** all to lose now. I Think it would do wonders for Andy's confidence to beat him

I dont see Lee wanting to fight lyell or smichet out of respect for duddy

would be a good fight for Andy Lyell is a decent boxer but Andy's on another level

Manfredo is set to fight a week later so that rules that out but Matt Vanda just fought a few weeks back maybe he could be entised with a few quid and the promise of Guinness
