if ohara/sykes is on the lindsay card... then the ulster hall will be too small... the waterfront would be a better venue... it holds around 3000 and has been used before for boxing:deal
Thanks Bren. He is back in Manchester on Monday and I am going down to watch him spar. Photos and interview to follow hopefully.
How many does the Kings Hall hold? Any updates on who will be on the Mc Closkey undercard (apart from Carlos) and is 4th June set in stone? As I dont want to book flights for the wrong date!

Any news on who Lee is fighting. Was hoping to see him step it up abit but I doubt it now as the fight is only a month away.
As far as a know J there is carlos, stephan haughian and jamie conlan is fighting for an irish title. yeah no change on the date yet so still the 4th of june :good
he said it would be announced in the next few weeks. As a side note - Tomas Rohan's press release about the Sweeney-Tims fight was a genuine *******. If only all PR's could be as entertaining. I must also doff my titfer to Mr. Cronan for being at the centre of this. :good
Conlan doesnt qualify does he? A single 8 rounder alright, but has only had two fights. Fighting Farrell?
Robert Murray only had 5 before he won the Irish Light-Welterweight title, okay that's a few more but it's a low enough number of fights to have me believe there is no restrictions on the number of fights a fighter must have before competing for the Irish title. They let Barrett off with the 8 rounder thing recently anyway, I'm guessing they tried to use him having fought 8 rounds in one night when he was in prizefighter to get around that but as far as I'm aware technically he shouldn't have been allowed fight for it. Not that I'm complaining that he was, he showed he deserved it by beating Kenna.
whens the tickets 4 mccloskey go on sale... i havent been 2 a boxing show all year... and by fook im missing it... come on mccloskey:good
DUDDY READY FOR CRACK AT BIG TIME http://www.independent.ie/sport/other-sports/boxing-duddy-ready-for-crack-at-big-time-2138615.html PAUL SMITH SET TO DEFEND AGAINST MAGEE http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/paul-smith-set-defend-against-brian-magee IRISH TITLES FOR FOUR WEXFORD BOXERS http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/paul-smith-set-defend-against-brian-magee SWEENEY V TIMS HEATS UP http://www.irish-boxing.com/stories/april10/apr10_sweeney_tims_heatsup.html
I hope duddy puts his heart and soul into this fight against chavez because this is his last chance and there will be many eyes watching him. johns last fight he looked kind of flat to me i wonder is he losing the hunger? As for chavez jnr dont sleep on him guys and definitely dont judge him on his last performance against troy whats his face? because chavez is better than that. If you want to see him at his best watch him against vanda in their second fight or his war against cuello.
chavez is ****. actually.i thought cuello beat him and vanda is a journeyman at best if john doesnt beat him or lose by a highly debatable decision its hard to see what his plans would be at his age
