duddy will most likely face pavlik in the near future and in honesty pavlik is a great fighter who holds nearly every physical advantage over duddy and he also has a similar boxing mindset to duddy,i'm sure it would be a shortlist for fight of the year but pavlik imo judging from duddy's last few encounters would simply be too well schooled and simply land from distance over and over,i'd have to say i don't think duddy will beat pavlik, but i'd be 100% sure john wouldn't give up the opportunity until he has nothing left, john for me is a great patron of the sport and really should be an example to be followed. lee,we don't know do we,yes he had star quality fighting people with very little to offer, his best win was fallega or carl daniels, fallega being a very average journeyman, and daniels although a once elite fighter should not have been in the ring and it showed from the knockout (one of my favorite kos to watch though),vera was his only real step up in class and he is only a C level fighter who has limited success, vera was all heart though in their fight and capitalised on andy's patient approach by simply swarming lee,who in close proved himself rather ****.he has a hell of alot to work on and i'd really like to hear the end of manny steward saying he'd beat pavlik anytime because he clearly ain't ready.he's young and can build himself up well,he needs to work through the rankings in a consistent manner and not over do himself like manny wanted,he shouldnt want to fight 10 times a year against average competition,he should be looking to fight every 2 months against constantly improving opponents,i think it's then we'll see his real worth. for me though i think our best prospect of a world title is mccloskey,he's in a relatively weak division with a few over hyped champs and with his style he'd be a problem for any of the title holders,we just need to see him keepon advancing,it's a shame lynes lost the other night, that would have been a fight i'd have really like to have seen.the only problem for him is that his counterpunching style isn't very pleasing on the eye for many fans and also the judges so it might go against him as he works his way up,peters doesn't seem as interested in paul as he does some of the other boys, but i think the show up in letterkenny proved that if you put the dungiven boy on anywhere in the north west he'll sell it out. i must give a mention to macklin,he's been improving and improving and under mcgirt is somewhat of an unknown quantity, honestly i wouldn't be one bit surprised if he is the most successful out of our current crop of middleweights.he's also fighting the best competition of the lot and i think this is a testament to his ambition.

very interesting cormac podge...why doesnt egan contact mccullough to put him on his july 5th promotion wayne is the sort of name that will raise the profile of this promotion skyhigh...wayne says hes fit...an 8rd warm up fight...and then wayne can take on and defeat munroe...
Thats a good idea Fra, you should be a matchmaker. No seriously, it would be great, to see McCullough fight in Dublin again.Hopefully Podge can put this sugguestion to Egan. What do you say Podge.
Two Great articals Cormac! Have you heard anything concrete from munroe's camp to suggest he would fight Wayne? Would be a nice scoop to announce a Munroe/McCullough fight
Been supporting Duddy from the jump but I got to admit his management is pissing me off. They are completely paralleling Gerry Cooney's career (although Cooney fought tougher opposition than John), and sacrificing his career for one pay day. Yet again Duddy will fight another stiff and pad his record until a Pavlik fight surfaces. What happend to fighting up the ladder and gaining experience? To be honest i think pavlik will looking at brighter options (ie Calzaghe) and i admit that is the best course for the sport of boxing. I wasn't a fan of Turner but the way Irish ropes plays musicals chairs and pins the blames on others is not a stand up move. All of these complaints are in no way a reflection on John. http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/5912/duddy-deal-don-turner-exits-pat-burns-enters/
Ml - i agree duddys next fight is a waste of time and won't learn anything from it. Someone like marquez or zuniga would have been a good fight.
i think it'll be james moore, matt macklin or paul McCloskey. And of the novice's i think spike, perez and lindsey if there chins can hold up and i think lee will win a title.
