IF he is as good as they are making out this will be a huge test for Murray a win in this fight will push him up in the rankings. Its more of a step up and its a risk but he has to take the risk sooner rather than later.

Cheers for the list - it is good to know the pool of boxers at each weight - I need to brush up on my knowledge of amateur boxing (that's an understatement).

Guys, in an age when every fight that fans want to see is put on the long finger (or never happens) because it "doesnt make financial sense" then Lee Murtagh is a breath of fresh ****in air.

Murtagh, from Leeds but from a family of boxers in Belfast, wants the Irish title so much that he is taking a fight against Anthony Fitzgerald for no purse and outside his normal weight division.

Hats off to the man, genuinely!

Glad they're making a move with Murray, I think he's fairly handy, better to give him shot now and take the risk than waste him fighting nobodies on undercards. This guy's record looks really solid though, hope it's not a step too far.

Ya its better to know now how good he is rather than having fighting easy fights and us never knowing what hes capable of even if he loses

If murrey gets a europen title next year would he brave enough to give fellow Irish man a crack at it that would be a good fight ?
