Mickrick, I wasn't able to anwser you earlier before the fight,but I'm sure your now aware, Moore was defeated last night.I read this report posted below, and it sounds as if his chin let him down, in that he was floored once and wobbled a few other times.I suppose the question now is, where does Moore at 30 go from here? In my opinion, there's a career waiting for him in Ireland, at Irish and European level he could still compete effectivity, but world level seems beyond him.:verysad

2008 has been a **** year for the higher profile Irish boxers Stateside. Maybe it will help us to adjust our expectations in future. I am still hopeful that Andy Lee can lick his wounds from the Vera scrap, learn from the experience and come back a better allround boxer.

With a bit of luck we'll get an excuse to visit the 'Garden' yet.

 

Dont know if you have heard this but murray v mcdonagh has been confirmed for the irish title. Any thoughts?

 

Is that the Mcdonagh that made Gomez quit in the stadium.if its him, then it will a good fight. Murray has been looking good, hes ready for harder tests, and the same Mcdonagh that beat Gomez will test him BIG.

 

It is the same McDonagh nutter.And I agree it will be a tough test for young Murray.But its a match he can win.

 

Heard on the radio today that Macklin intends to fight more in England and is no longer on Peters/Dunne bill.

 

Dont understand this he was doing quite well with peters i thought. Any reason given?

I was driving back from Dublin this evening and they said it on the sports news - not sure what station. They didn't give a reason but went on to talk about the Jim Rock fight - Peters was on talking about this . I have been checking RTE Sports on the web and they don't mention it.

 

Murray will beat mc donagh easily.Remember gomez was hammering mc donagh and then quit.The best that can be said for this matchup is Murray will get some rounds in te bank as Mc Donagh is resiliant.
But look for a wide UD or late stoppage from the impresive Cavan man.
