think of the positives lads .1. willie moves to fight for a world title .worse case he gets banged out after 3 to 4 . that wont happen lads willie wont get banged out by anyone et the weight. 2, he looses on points with a good performance in a world title bout /no shame there, 3 .,punches change fights and fighters .willie will catch anyone over 12 . look at the end of round 1 v paulie , willie knew the fight was his after that. 4. what if he actually wins boys and he could .phil would put him in against anyone in the world and expect a good outcome ye might disagree but hes his trainer /manager and sees him everyday . cave ,prizefighter .hyland . experts expecting him to lose .phil and willie DONT fear anyone., we win we are on top and that would be something . we lose we come back in to european fold and start again. either way we are not as people think taking chances. everything is talked thro and thought about carefully before a decision is made,

If anyone outside Team Casey believes that Casey should win that fight they are bonkers.

But as long as those within Team Casey, including the fighter, believe he can then thats all that really matters.

But how many of us thought that Dunne would beat Cordoba or Rogie beat Harrison?

    Simply put..............WAR Casey!!!!

Fights I would like to see (that could be realistically made) on the undercard on Rigo-Bangmeister

    - Spike 'River Lee' O'Sullivan v. Anthony 'the Call-out' Fitzgerald

    - Andy 'River' Lee v. John 'Face-foward' Duddy

    - Gavin 'the Skateboarder' Prunty v. Chris 'dejnowadameen' O'Brien

    - Jamie 'El susto Irlandés' Kavanagh v. Michael 'King of Dundalk' Kelly

    - Dean 'Lightening the Load' Byrne v. 'Oor Wullie' Limond

    - Michael 'Light Breeze' Sweeny v. 'Just' Ian Tims

    - JJ McDonagh v. Tommy Tolan II

    - Finbarr 'Fury' Eade v. 'Fast' Eddie Hyland

    Howayiz lads

I'm kicking off a new weekly boxing column in the Irish Sun tomorrow. Like most other Irish papers, unfortunately we have no online content yet.
But it's great to get a weekly spot and I reckon it represents the huge inroads the sport is making in this country - maybe summer football and the lack of GAA right now helps a bit too!

Anyway, I have bits n bobs on Casey-Rigo, Bernard Dunne and Froch's missus.

    Cheers

A McGuigan v. a Peters fighter on the undercard of a DolPhil/NoWhere2Hyde promotion given Acosta's history with Hyde? I dont think so!

p.s. Well done to ah,sure for getting a slot on an 'Irish' daily newspaper. Brilliant stuff. Delighted. Any chance you could scan you column say a day or two after to print copy goes out so us that are "out fordein" can catch a glimpse at your work?

totally agree with you, world title chances dont come by very often would be crazy to turn the fight down. what if he does and is knocked out by martinez next year dont think a world title fight would ever be on the cards, he has took chances before as a practical novice and came through with flying colours each time what if he pulls it off?? i wish him all the best.

Since when is an Interim title a World title ? some of you guys should know better.....

A WBA interim title is like 3rd place with the WBA after Bernard Dunnes Regular title and then comes the REAL world champ of the WBA the Super Champ ie Felix sturm.

World title my arse, hope Casey wins all the same, always good to see a irishman get paid.
