i seen the fight to...appleby is not the hotsot some r making him out to b...lindsay will take him to school:good
Ardy/Paddy, Thanks for the kind words. Jamie was a pleasure to interview - he'd rival Hatton or DLH in the nice fella stakes. I had an interview with Gary O'Sullivan this week - he's an interesting fella, for sure. I'm also hoping to talk to Sean Mannion about his fights with Mike McCallum and In-Chul Baek for Cormac's site soon. They will be good reads, hopefully. Any ideas for features that anyone thinks would make interesting reading, please pass them along. What you guys want, I want, so keep 'em comin'. Jamie Moore will be coming to Ireland for the official TV3 launch on Tuesday. Its in the Tower Hotel in Tallaght at 2pm. If anyone fancies going along, there will be photo ops and talk time with the fighters, I'm sure. Tommy Egan reckons the more the merrier - he wants fight fans to be involved as much as possible, and asked me to tell you guys that. All the fighters will be there. Jamie, Kiko Martinez, the Hylands, etc. Unfortunately it does now look as if Martin Rogan has taken the Audley Harrison fight which means he won't appear on the Tommy Egan show. It's a shame, the big fella was someone I would have loved to have seen. Who could blame him for taking the opportunity against Harrison? Hopefully, Rogie will batter him. And then perhaps headlining in Ireland soon? The knock-on effect of having two promoters can be seen already, methinks. Brian Peters has put together a super card for July 12, and so has Tommy Egan for July 5. One collective winner - us. Yaboy!
I think interviews with the 5 Olympic hopefuls would make a good read , as would one with Paul McCloskey who has developed into a potentially World Class prospect . I enjoyed the Moore interview so keep it coming Podge .
Another excellent article from Irish boxing.com, thanks Cormac TRIUMPH OVER ADVERSITY http://www.irish-boxing.com/stories/june08/june08_triumph_over_adversity.html
Dont know if you know but dunne seems to have been pulled out of the card on 12th july on boxrec , hope this is a mistake.
Thats strange ,there has been no news of this anywhere else, maybe it can become clearer shortly.:think
A source close to Bernard said its not true minutes ago, he's definitely still on for July 12. Must be a technical mistake on boxrec.
Is Paul Mccloskey definitely fighting on the Andy Lee/Limerick bill. Again there is no mention on Boxrec.
I know very little, if anything, about the Macklin situation, nutter. A few sources, only based on pure speculation, think its because he needs to fight in England again. He also sells more tickets in Birmingham. Brian Peters is still his manager however, as far as I know, so its not all doom and gloom over this side of the water. I have no doubt we'll see him again in an Irish ring.
