Just back from the Kings Hall.

Conlan won well, Cusack won, Neillins won a shut out, Greene won against slippery opponent, Mike Harvey won. Really gutted for Lindsay and Tolan.

Lindsay was well off his game tonight, but the rounds he lost it by were very tight I thought, but the rounds Simpson won were clearer than the ones that Lindsay won.

Will fire up a few reports tomorrow afternoon. ****ing Wednesday boxing - no more of that - after the Lindsay-Simpson main event we had another 5 fights so couldnt go back to the dressings rooms to do interviews otherwise we would have missed the Irish lads on the under card.

Lads was gutting 2nite but lindsay did himself proud 2nite, i gave it 2 simpson by 2 rounds but it could of went either way 2? Were now for Martin? a thought it was terrible how most of the undercard were after the main event, thought Jamie Conlon was super, lovely uppercuts opponent was game kid. Felt bad for Tommy Tolan 2 at was a bad ko!

Disappointed in the result but not the worst performance that it could have been and certainly keeps Lindsay in the British mix. Opportunities are still there for Martin and hopefully from here on in there are no slip ups.

I just watched the fight there. It pains me to say it he looked a different fighter. You can see the difference in the fight last night to his last fight in Belfast he didnt look at it for some reason. Maybe its because he is not as active as he was but the move to Maloney hasnt worked out as well as it should have. It seems to me Maloney was too busy with Munroe and Booth this year and kind of left Lindsey to one side.

I would hope Lindsey to go for the rematch now if he can as a warm up to a rematch is a bit time consuming. The only reason he should have a warm up fight is IF Maloney can get him a European title fight if not go for Simpson again. I will be interested in seeing what Maloney does with him but they have to act fast in 2011 and get more fights in he should be looking at trying to get 4 to 5 fights on if he stays fit and healthy next year.

Maloney has pissed around for so long and when he actually pulls his finger out of his arse and makes a 12 month plan; Lindsay gets beat...

Can't see Lindsay getting near a European title now. Maybe fight the winner of Smith-Simpson.

Pajo v Takoucht for European title is looking more likely now

Gutted for Lindsay, something seemed to be missing, maybe ring rust? I'm sure he can bounce back and hopefully beat Simpson in the future. Full credit to Simpson though, well deserved.

The main event was brilliant with a great atmosphere, but apart from that it was one of the worst run shows i've seen. No wonder pro boxing is losing out to MMA, the promoters need to move with the times and pump a bit of razzmatazz into the undercard, announce the fighters and bring them on to music, and get rid of the long unannounced delays between fights. People pay for an event as well as a fight.

Magee vs. Bute??? According to the main page, it's a possibility.

March seems to be the month for the top Irish fighters. With in the space of a couple of weeks Casey , Lee and Magee all linked to World title fights within a week of each other. I just wonder if any of these fights get the green light for a world title fight.
