In fairness to Lee he hasn't tried to excuse his performance against Vera. He more or less admits he was beaten by the better man on the night. He has his opportunity to get his career back on track against Gibbs. Irish boxing needs a big performance from both Lee and McCloskey in Limerick. Roll on July 19th.

Gomez is ALWAYS "up for it" - he's a fookin looney no matter who he is fighting.

But Jeff Thomas who trains at Bobby Rimmers with Gomez said that he has never known Gomez to be in better shape and that I should put a few quid on a Gomez win by KO if I get good odds.

I've got tickets and cant wait to go!

more a case of sticking up for his gym mate than anything I'd say, both are in the Breen Camp in Belfast

Collins wont be doing anything for the RTE is the near future I heard he lumped one of the security staff at the national stadium and is now in court over it

Jesus that's a cracking bout , the best one on the card . I'd give Addy a real good chance if his chin holds up , Addy doesn't mind a brawl either so.........bombs away :happy

bah I've mixed Addy up with Anyetei Leryea , Addy is the guy that lost a decisions(and got dropped) to Jason Booth .
Addy is tough and likes to war but Martinez's power should be too much for him and he'll just be too big for him .
