Yea because on boxrec he is british and i thought you have the right to choose which country you want but this may not be so as duddy is british on boxrec also an he ,im sure would want to be known as Irish.
Then again Lee is Irish on it and he was born in England as far as I know. So maybe boxrec is not very accurate.

If any boxers are from the North boxrec will automatically label them as british even if they regard themselves as Irish.
Basically it comes down to religion again - Protestant=british,Catholic=Irish

Regardless of religion if they come from the wee island i will support them

He would count himself as Irish. But I agree with Iceman, I couldnt give a monkeys as long as the boxers are good boxers and people

That's right Cormac, I'm fiercely proud of my nationality and religion, but politics or religion shouldn't mix with sport[in a Irish context that is ].I support the protestant/unionist boxer as equally as I do any other boxer in Ireland. In actual fact one of the nicest Irish boxers in recent years has been Neil Sinclair who happens to come from a unionist background. By the way Cormac, how did your dog racing on Friday night turn out. I hope you all had a good night.:good

Does anyone know whether the haughian fight is being shown by sky on friday? Usually they show some of the undercard.

I think it all depends upon how quickly the main event ends.I like Haughian he is a good prospect, and is appearing on the Lee undercard in Limerick also.
