I'm tempted to sign up for Setanta after I saw that 5.99 offer. I assume you subscribe via the website.

I read in Friday's Newsletter that Carl Frampton had did an interview for Sky's Ringside show this week. In my opinion if shown, that will be the only saving grace for McGuigan's decision to stick Carl in a 6rder in Huddersfield last night. As Frampton was statring to create a bit of a stir in Belfast with his last two performances, and more and more people I spoke to were considering going to watch him next time out. But that momentum has now been stalled by the decision to hide Carl in England away from the Belfast fans who were starting to get behind him. McGuigan needs to decide where he wants Carl to box, in England or here, for Setanta or Sky, stop pissing about and get the lad decent fights. The Celtic title can be defended in Belfast, as there's ample challengers out there for these defences, so there's no excuses about finding suitable opponents. And while I'm in a moaning mood, McGuigan undercards have been dismally poor, that's another problem that needs to be addressed.

I'll definitely agree with you on one thing. He needs to decide on Sky or Setanta. Theres **** all use sending Carl over to box on Sky when he doesn't actually get shown on Sky.

Personally I'd like to see him box out of Belfast (or wherever else would be considered home ground) and continue to build the base you mention. He's a quality operator who has a following at home and 2 bill topping Setanta appearances at the Ulster Hall under his belt after only 9 fights as well as a Celtic Title.

Ringside interview is better than nothing but it's not going to garner him much of a fanbase or attention. If Sky aren't willing to give him any airtime or move him up the bill on their fights, and lets be honest Sykes - Johannsen was hardly one of their huge cards, then he should go another way.

If the worst came to the worst I'm sure he'd find a place on an RTE bill with his style of fighting. The more people get to see him the more fans he'll have due to his style of fighting.
