We could get an old prediction table going ahead of the four big fights involving Irish fighters, like the one on boards.ie (except way shorter). Anyone interested?

Andy Lee and the Long Journey Back to a Chance
    http://www.maxboxing.com/news/promo-lead/andy-lee-and-the-long-journey-back-to-a-chance
“I think this is going to be a good fight for me to showcase my skills because the guy I am fighting is a boxer and a southpaw himself,” explained Lee. “A lot of people wouldn’t fight him because he’s tall and a mover, bit of a spoiler, but the way I look at it is this is a fight where I get to showcase a lot of my skills, a lot of my feints, my legs, my footwork and my punching power. I don’t think it’s going to be an easy fight. I believe if I win, I’ll definitely earn it. We’ll see. First and foremost is win. Look good is obviously my intention as well. I want to look good winning. There is a lot on the line with HBO being involved. That adds an extra incentive for the fight because if we look good, it’s possible there is a title fight for the winner. There is so much on the line but at the end of the day, you have to get in there and perform and whomever does that, whomever puts forth their best capability will win the fight. I know what I can do to win and what he can do to win and whomever can do that on the night will win the fight.”

Through all Lee has been through, I got the sense there was no bitterness. Only wisdom born from experience seemed to come from Lee when he spoke about what drives him forward and the support he gets from his fellow countrymen.

“The people of Ireland support me. They are great fans,” said Lee. “Every day I get messages of support and everywhere we go. Every day I get emails from people wishing me well. All I can do is give them back a key fight and hopefully keep winning. Hopefully, that will be good enough. It’s all I can do, really.”

Right, don’t know if we’ll get enough to make this interesting but I’ll give it a shot. Reply to this post with your prediction(s) if you want to take part.

12th March: Andy Lee vs. Craig McEwan
19th March: Willie Casey vs. Guillermo Rigondeaux
19th March: Lucian Bute vs. Brian Magee
16th April: Amir Khan vs. Paul McCloskey

    Here’s the scoring system:

10 points for picking the winner
5 points for picking method of win (stoppage or points)
30 points for predicting the stoppage round
50 points for predicting a draw

    The Rules:

You can change a prediction up until the time that the fight card begins
Points will only be given for predicting the method of victory or the stoppage round if the correct fighter has been chosen.
No points at all will be awarded in the event of a no contest.
A fight being stopped on a technical decision warrants no stoppage points but does warrant distance decision points.

Lee looks great there. Was just reading todays examiner and theres a court hearing in Tipp for this fella who wants to build a hotel/casino/ 2 race tracks and an indoor entertainment arena. The arena would hold 15000 people. That would be great for Munster in general but it could make a great fight venue a few years down the road. Fingers crossed he gets the planning
