Here is A Lee interview more on the way from the ground http://www.irish-boxing.com/stories/march11/mar11_lee_preview.html
I can picture the ref stopping it and I can even picture Phil throwing the towel into the ring but there is absolutely no chance that Willie will quit on his stool
if casey doesnt get stopped early i dont see him getting stopped tbh, rigo tends to go into cruise control and box and move if the thinks hes leading, ya could see this in the cordoba fight, i also think willy is physically stronger than cordoba so rigo may tend to box his way to a UD if it doesnt get stopped early
good post, you could be onto something there, interestingly most people seem to be going for stoppages around rounds 3 or 4. on a seperate front - I'm not much of a rugby fan but that Italy win could set things up nicely for Ireland, if they get the win today it could be reminiscent of a certain great day in March 2009 :good No silverware directly on offer but make or break contests for all concerned..
Barry got in touch with me and said would you fight kiko for the euro title? My reply was, ****ing right I would I would love to. I was confident I would beat him and so was Barry. They were interested, I was Defo interested but the contact was a joke I don't no how many different options they wanted on me if I beat him. In the end we just decided to hold off for a while and wait until we are in a better position to get a better deal!
Well played and thanks for sharing Carl. You have a lot of time on your side and it will do no harm to just keep active and get more pro experience and the titles will be there.
Good decision in the end. No point in compromising anything for the sake of getting a go at a title that is going to come at stage anyway. Giving up the rights to future fights isn't something Carl or Barry need to get involved in at all.
